Speer IT acquires KLIC services from The People Group
Baarn, January 9, 2026 – Speer IT has acquired the KLIC services of The People Group BV as of January 1, 2026. This concerns the automated services related to the KLIC WIN Service and the Cable & Pipeline Collection Map. Speer IT has more than 20 years of experience with KLIC services and currently supports more than 150 network owners with KLIC solutions. With this expertise, Speer IT will continue to fully support current and future customers in their digital and geographical processes.
KLIC stands for Kabel- en Leidingeninformatiecentrum (Cable and Pipeline Information Centre). In the Netherlands, KLIC notifications, which are submitted via the Kadaster, are mandatory for mechanical excavation work. This serves to protect underground cables and pipelines.
The KLIC services of The People Group automate these notifications and the resulting requests to network owners to gain insight into the cables and pipelines located within the excavation area, with the aim of preventing excavation damage.
With its Klicon solution, Speer IT offers network owners the ability to respond to these information requests in an automated manner with detailed data on the location of cables and other network components. In addition, the solution makes it possible to register and manage requests, so that incidents can be handled more quickly and claims can be better supported.
